ABOUT THE REGATTA

Tri-City Sailing Cup is an event that opens the sailing season on the water. The Regatta will be held in the three major sailing centres of Tri-City – in the marinas of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia. The event is organized by the Pomeranian Yachting Association on the initiative of the Olympic champion Mateusz Kusznierewicz and involves Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Gdansk and Sopot and Gdynia Sports Centre (GOSiR). In 2013, the Tri-City Sailing Cup received the title of Tourism Event of the Year 2013 during the Pomeranian Yachting Gala, while in 2014 Tri-city regattas were in the final three in the competition conducted by the Pomeranian Regional Tourist Organisation for the best tourist product of Pomerania.

In 2018, the regatta will be held from 25 to 28 May.

Tri-city Sailing Cup is an initiative which potential lies in the synergy - joining forces and energy of three host-cities: Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. The regattas are implemented with the involvement of the municipal centres, sports and sailing clubs as well as provincial authorities.

Tri-City Sailing Cup is a three-day celebration of sailing, during which the competition on water is accompanied by unique attractions on land. The intention of the organizers is to promote sailing and water area of the Gulf of Gdansk. The opening season regattas, are also an opportunity to bring this beautiful sport closer to amateurs and media representatives. Tri-City Sailing Cup opens the season on water and is a must yachting performance for every sailor from the South Baltic area. We invite to attend both amateurs and professionals.
